In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous changes reverberate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.

The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Features

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an special katana alongside several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
• Mikasa attire for Naoe
• Special implements
• Survey Corps steed

Latest Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive techniques: Naoe introduces a theatrical variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-fatal stealth takedowns.
