Approximately 25,000 households in southeastern Queensland were left without power on Monday morning after powerful weather events swept through the area, bringing powerful gusts reaching 109km/h.
Massive Hailstones and Extensive Impact
Residents witnessed giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7cm in particular locations. Meteorological experts confirmed that multiple regions across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Response teams were working to restore electricity service throughout the affected regions, with dozens of response units working to handle the numerous electricity disruptions.
Southern State's Storm Challenges
Simultaneously, around 1,000 households in Victoria also encountered energy failures after the capital city recorded its heaviest rainfall in 18 months.
Rescue organizations handled nearly 600 requests for assistance across the area, primarily for structural issues but also for downed trees and inundation.

- Wyndham - over 175 emergency requests
At the height on Sunday, in excess of 28k energy customers in Victoria were without power.
Climate Outlook
Moist weather were predicted to continue along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this week as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.
Tomorrow was expected to become the most rainy day, with persistent storm activity predicted across different parts of both areas.
Health Warning
Health officials alerted that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
This warning comes after past events where similar conditions led to substantial respiratory problems in the region.
